Elizabeth Backman is a Canadian artist who is a transplanted Montrealer, now residing in Langley, BC. Her creative juices as a fashion designer added to the success of her clothing manufacturing and importing business in Montreal. Elizabeth’s constant travels to her New York showroom and abroad kept her inspired to appreciate colour, lines and design. Her shift to the west coast has flavoured her latest endeavours as they reflect the BC outdoors lifestyle.

Elizabeth’s medium is oil paints and her ‘go to’ for inspiration is her curiosity with nature; forest, bodies of water and flowers. The most important thing to her is the self-achievement and fulfillment she gets when she successfully reflects tranquility and beauty through her paintings.
